GAME TITLE: Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned
ROLE: Quest Designer
TIME ON PROJECT: June 2010 - October 2010
STUDIO: Propaganda Games
Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned was a third person action-rpg for the X360 and PS3. It was developed by Propaganda Games and published by Disney Interactive. The game was canceled after several years in development.
During my time on the game, I worked extensivly within part two of the game's second act. From there, I moved to become the sole owner of the game's third act. This portion of the game had had very little attention beyond main story beats. I developed a design plan, and worked with several departments (artists, writers, SEs) to put that plan into motion. Unfortunately, the game was cancelled just as we began implementing the design.
I was also heavily involved with the maintinence and upkeep of the game's side missions, including the late development and implementation of new missions involving iconic POTC characters. I then worked with the mission lead to take ownership of the side mission timeline.
Additionally, I owned the game's Lore system, which involved collectibles that would unlock additional story content. Working with the writers, we developed a plan for the placement of these items in the world, and implemented the system successfully.
